New Delhi: The disappoiniting form of skipper Suryakumar Yadav and his deputy Shubman Gill remains a major concern for team India ahead of Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, but the national selection committee is not expected to spring any surprises while naming the 15-member squad for next year’s on Saturday.
The BCCI will have the option to make changes to the selected 15-member squad until the start of the T20 World Cup on February 7. Earlier this year, during the Champions Trophy, Varun Chakravarthy was brought in for Yashasvi Jaiswal after slow pitches in Dubai were taken into account.
Although there has been no confirmation from BCCI, but the global event in India could turn out to be Suryakumar’s final assignment as India’s T20 skipper. At 35, he has struggled for form over the past year.
