New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday put on hold all proceedings arising from an FIR against Dehradun gym owner ‘Mohammed’ Deepak Kumar, who has sought quashing of the case linked to a confrontation involving Bajrang Dal members and a Muslim shopkeeper.

A bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta also stayed the operation of the Uttarakhand High Court order that had restrained Deepak from making social media posts about the incident and the case.

The interim relief came while the bench issued notice on Deepak’s petition challenging the high court’s refusal to quash the FIR.
