Small plane crash near New Jersey airport leaves five injured

A skydiving aircraft went off a runway and crashed in the woods near an airport in southern New Jersey. At least 15 people were injured in the incident, which happened on Wednesday evening (local time).

The Associated Press quoted a Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson as saying that the incident happened at the Cross Keys Airport, about 21 miles (34 kilometers) southeast of Philadelphia.

The plane was a Cessna 208B, and there were 15 people onboard at the time of the accident.

AP said three people were being treated at Cooper University Hospital’s trauma center in Camden, New Jersey.
