12 people were injured after about ten coaches of a train bound for Mumbai derailed in Jharkhand early this morning.
The Howara-CSMT Express derailed near Badabamboo, around 80 km from Jamshedpur. Rescue teams have been rushed to the site to assist in rescue and relief operation.
"The Mumbai-Howrah Mail and a goods train are involved in the accident," a Railways official said.
The injured were given first aid by the Railways' medical team, he said, adding that they have now been taken to Chakradharpur for better treatment.
