Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, the Delhi police have heightened security arrangements across the Capital.

Deployment of personnel has been enhanced around embassies in Chanakyapuri, religious places, prominent hotels, and neighbourhoods with a significant expatriate population, an official said on Monday.<EP>According to the official, the police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and put up barricades around the embassies of the U.S., Iran, and Israel.<EP>“Security has also been increased at major markets, places of worship, and hotels with a high number of foreign visitors,” the official added.

Police are also conducting intensified checks, strategic vehicle inspections, and increased patrolling across the city to maintain law and order, ahead of Holi. An official stated that personnel have been deployed in key and sensitive areas, such as outside schools, colleges, and girls’ hostels, to enhance police visibility.
