Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces the possibility of years in prison in prostitution case

Prosecutors want more than 11 years behind bars for Combs, 55, who was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His lawyers say the punishment is “wildly out of proportion” and want him freed now.
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who will decide the sentence, has twice denied bail and signaled Combs is unlikely to be freed from federal custody soon. On Friday, the judge said that while Combs was acquitted of certain charges, the verdict doesn’t absolve him of underlying conduct, such as violence and coercion.
Prosecutors said the focus of Friday's sentencing was accountability for Combs and justice for the public.
