Satwik-Chirag Storm Into Denmark Open Semifinals With Gritty Win

Star Indian men’s doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty missed bagging a spot in the final, losing to Japan’s Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi in the men’s doubles match at the DenmarkDenmarkDenmark Open Super 750 on Saturday, October 18.

Satwik-Chirag, who had reached successive finals at the Hong Kong Super 500 and China Masters Super 750, showed great determination by recovering after losing the first game.

However, Satwik-Chirag faltered towards the end of the decider, losing 21-23, 21-18, 16-21 against the 2021 world champions in a 68-minute match filled with rapid exchanges and intense rallies.
