A robbery of approximately Rs 25 crore took place at a jewellery showroom in Delhi's Jangpura area. This becomes one of the biggest robberies reported in the national capital in the recent past.

The robbery came to light on Tuesday when the showroom in the Bhogal area was opened in the morning after a day off. The robbers entered from the terrace of the building after drilling a hole in the wall.

The shop owners estimated the value of the stolen jewellery to be between Rs 20 and Rs 25 crore.

"We closed the shop on Sunday, and when we opened it on Tuesday after being closed on Monday, we found dust throughout the shop and a hole in the wall of the strong room... We believe the thieves have looted everything," said shop owner Sanjeev Jain.
