New Delhi: It’s been almost three years since Russia invaded Ukraine and the war is going on continuously. For the war, Russia reportedly recruited fighters or mercenaries from other countries.

Under this arrangement, few Indians were said to have volunteered to fight from the Russian side while news poured in that there have been Indian casualties in the war.

In this context, India on Tuesday, 14 January 2025 pushed Russia to discharge all the Indians recruited by the Russian military. The demand has been made following the death of another Indian national in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. With the latest casualty, the death toll of Indians who have died fighting has gone up to 10.
