Russia says it is now carefully reviewing the U.S.-drafted peace proposal to end the war in Ukraine, signaling that Moscow is not yet ready to commit to Washington’s plan. President Vladimir Putin’s aide Yury Ushakov revealed that the U.S. has proposed a face-to-face meeting, though no date has been set.

Ushakov added that while “many” elements of the draft are acceptable to Moscow, major revisions will be required. The comments come after U.S., Ukrainian, and EU officials met in Geneva on November 23 to adjust the peace framework.

Reports suggest the American proposal may be tilted in Russia’s favour, including acceptance of Russian control of Crimea and Donbas, limits on Ukraine’s military, and restrictions on future NATO membership. Watch the video to find out more.
