Prithvi Shaw reacts after getting dropped from Ranji Trophy squad

Prithvi Shaw has made headlines again for the wrong reasons. The opening batter was dropped from Mumbai's Ranji Trophy squad for their third-round match against Tripura. The Mumbai Cricket Association did not mention the reason for the change in the squad in their statement while announcing 29-year-old left-handed opening batter Akhil Herwadkar as his replacement.

While Prithvi Shaw did not start the season on a high, managing a string of low scores, it has come to light that the India opener was dropped due to fitness and disciplinary issues.

Prithvi Shaw did not attend the team's training sessions regularly, according to news agency PTI. The flamboyant batter was also found a "little overweight" and has been advised to work on his fitness for the next couple of weeks.
