Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the redeveloped Park railway station, which was under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), through video conferencing from Jalandhar Cantonment railway station in Punjab on Friday. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar participated in the inauguration ceremony held at the station.

Park railway station, located opposite Dr. MGR Chennai Central station and serving as the key link to the Moore Market complex (MMC) suburban railway station, has been redeveloped at a cost of ₹14 crore.
