An all-party meeting was convened in New Delhi ahead of the commencement of Parliament's Monsoon Session, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chairing the discussions. Senior leaders from the ruling NDA and opposition parties, including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, DMK, and NCP(I), attended the meeting to discuss the smooth functioning of the upcoming session.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju appealed to opposition parties to cooperate and allow Parliament to function without disruptions, expressing hope for constructive discussions on key government bills.
Opposition leaders indicated they would raise several issues during the session, including education reforms, the NEET controversy, and the Ram Temple donation case, while seeking detailed discussions on these matters. The government reiterated its willingness to debate issues in accordance with parliamentary rules and urged support for pending legislative business.
