OpenAI’s Sam Altman accused of sexual abuse by sister, he calls it utterly untrue

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has been sued by his sister, Ann Altman, in a federal court, alleging nearly a decade of sexual abuse. As reported by Bloomberg, Ann Altman, 30, claims that the abuse and manipulation took place during their childhood in Missouri, spanning the late 1990s to early 2000s. The lawsuit, filed on Monday, asserts that the abuse began when she was just three years old, with the last alleged incident occurring when Sam Altman was an adult, and she was still a minor. Ann Altman has previously made similar allegations against her brother on social media.

Sam Altman, 39, posted a statement on behalf of himself, his mother and brothers on X on Tuesday, calling the claims “utterly untrue.”

“This situation causes immense pain to our entire family,” the statement read.

Sam Altman said, “Annie continues to demand more money from us.” His statement alleged, “Over the years, we’ve tried in many ways to support Annie and help her find stability, following professional advice on how to be supportive without enabling harmful behaviors.”
