Nitish Kumar Pulls Down Doctor’s Hijab At Event, Opposition Questions Mental Health

A newly hired AYUSH doctor in Bihar was surprised on Monday when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar pulled the hijab (veil) off her face while she was receiving her appointment letter.

The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, took place at ‘Samvad’, the CM’s office, where over 1,000 AYUSH doctors were receiving their appointment letters.

The episode drew strong criticism from Opposition parties, especially the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), both of which leveled serious allegations against the chief minister after the visuals circulated on social media.
