Neeraj Chopra qualifies for Diamond League final

Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra will be eyeing another big prize at the season-ending Diamond League 2024 finale, which takes place in Brussels, Belgium, on the September 13 and 14. Neeraj will be seen in action in he men’s javelin event which takes place on Saturday (September 14).

Neeraj has already accumulated 14 points from his two second-place finishes in the one-day meets held in Doha and Lausanne last month. He skipped the last series meet in Zurich this Thursday.

The Paris Olympics 2024 silver medallist is two points behind Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlech. Grenada’s Anderson Peters, who won the Lausanne Diamond League 2024 event, and German star Julian Weber occupy the top two spots with 29 and 21 points respectively. Peters had pipped Weber in the Zurich meet.
