Mudhalvar Marundhagams inaugurated in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin via a video conference inaugurated 21 outlets of the Mudhalvar Marundhagam (Chief Minister’s Pharmacy) in the district on Monday, as part of a statewide inauguration of 1,000 Mudhalvar Marundhagams.

Of the 21 outlets inaugurated, 11 will be run by co-operative societies and 10 by entrepreneurs. The applications were received from B. Pharm/ D. Pharm graduates or under their liaison through the website.

The outlets will sell generic medicines, surgical, neutraceuticals, Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani and ONC products at a 25% discounted price. According to the administration, people seeking medical treatment in private hospitals and clinics may now access common medicines such as blood pressure and diabetes pills at discounted prices.
