Mohammed Shami, the star Indian pacer, dismissed the media reports suggesting that he has developed a knee issue that could potentially rule him out of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Shami in a social media post refuted the reports calling them “rumours” and urged everyone to not pay any attention to them.

Shami has been out of any cricketing action since the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia, owing to an ankle injury, for which he underwent a surgery back in February of this year. While it was initially anticipated that Shami would return for the Australia vs India series in November, reports had raised concerns about his availability, which he has now refuted.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Shami expressed that he is working his level best to recover from his ankle issues. He urged the public to ignore unofficial sources and stop spreading fake news.
