Adani Realty, the real estate arm of the Adani Group, is set to make a significant impact on Mumbai’s real estate landscape with plans to develop 6-8 million square feet of residential, commercial, and retail spaces. One of the flagship projects includes a 25,000-seat convention centre near the upcoming Navi Mumbai airport, which can become a major rival to Mukesh Ambani’s Jio World Convention Centre located in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The new convention centre will be part of a larger ecosystem comprising five-star hotels, corporate meeting spaces, and high-street retail areas. According to the Hindu Business Line report, this integrated development around the Navi Mumbai airport will cover an area of around 3-3.5 million square feet, making it a substantial addition to Mumbai’s commercial and hospitality sector.
The Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, covering over 1 million square feet, has become a premier destination for large-scale events, including summits, exhibitions, and concerts. However, one of the drawbacks of the Jio Centre is its distance from the airports, which affects accessibility. In contrast, Adani’s upcoming convention centre will have a strategic locational advantage because its nearby to the Navi Mumbai airport, enhancing convenience for international and domestic travelers.
