The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination is one of India’s most challenging exam, and passing it is a remarkable achievement. Successful candidates are awarded prestigious positions in public service, with the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) being among the most sought-after roles. IAS officers play crucial roles in the country’s administration and governance, typically being reserved for top-ranking candidates.

Ria Dabi, following in the footsteps of her elder sister Tina Dabi, made her mark in the UPSC exams at just 23 years old. Tina, who topped the UPSC exam in 2015, has been an inspiration to many aspiring candidates. Ria, motivated by her sister’s achievements, secured the 15th rank in the UPSC 2020 exam, cementing her own place in the administrative field. Ria moved to Delhi during her school years, and growing up in a family that emphasized the importance of education, she was motivated to pursue her dream of becoming a civil servant.

Ria Dabi was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and when she was in class 7th, she and her family moved to Delhi where she completed her higher education. Ria completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi and began preparing for the UPSC exams shortly after, determined to clear them on her first attempt. She drew significant inspiration from her elder sister, Tina, a Rajasthan cadre IAS officer, and followed the path set by her parents, both of whom had also cleared the UPSC exams.
