Man gets life term for murder of friend

Principal District and Sessions Court in Theni has sentenced Murugan alias Balamurugan to life imprisonment for the murder of his friend. Principal District and Sessions Judge Swarnam J. Natarajan also imposed a fine of ₹1,000 on Murugan.

The case of the prosecution was that Murugan and Kalaikannan were friends. A wordy altercation between them escalated and led to the murder of Kalaikannan. Kumily police had registered a case.
