Man Disguised As Woman Sets Lover On Fire After She Refuses To Elope With Him

A 28-year-old man disguised as a woman set his married lover afire inside her house here after she refused to elope with him, police said.

As the woman's neighbours rushed to her house after hearing her screams on Tuesday afternoon, Umesh, who was wearing a lehenga, tried to escape by jumping from the terrace and sustained severe injuries in the process, police said.

Both Rekha (30), who suffered over 70 per cent burns, and Umesh are undergoing treatment at SN Medical College in Agra, they said.
