Malayalam Actress Lakshmi Menon gets accused in kidnapping and assault case, investigations underway

In the glitzy and glamorous lives of showbiz, we often see the dazzling and larger-than-life screen presence of celebrities, but sometimes, what happens behind the surface is something that sends shockwaves among fans and fraternity. One such similar case happened when actress Lakshmi Menon, a known face of Malayalam and Tamil cinema, got caught up in a police investigation in Kochi, Kerala.

This incident goes back to the date August 24, Sunday, when a late-night argument at a bar allegedly escalated into a violent confrontation. As per reports, a group of people, including the actress Lakshmi Menon, was involved in blocking vehicles of IT employees near the North Bridge in Ernakulam. One 27-year-old IT worker was allegedly abducted and physically assaulted before being released in Kochi. Police later arrested three individuals, one of whom is known to be a friend of the actress.

Later, visuals of the incident started doing the rounds, and it appeared to show Lakshmi Menon and others blocking a car and engaging in an argument. Confirming Lakshmi’s involvement, Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Vimaladitya said, “An argument broke out at a bar. Later, the accused blocked the vehicle of a group of IT employees near the North Bridge in Ernakulam.
