Heavy overnight rainfall on Monday led to waterlogging in several areas of West Bengal’s Kolkata, the Hindustan Times reported.
The city had received 247.4 mm of rainfall since 8.30 am on Monday, the Financial Express quoted an update from the Regional Meteorological Centre in Kolkata as saying.
Schools remained closed on Tuesday and several areas reported power outages amid the downpour. Water also entered homes and residential complexes, according to PTI.
