New Delhi:  Star India’s badminton player Lakshya Sen has won his maiden title of 2025. In the final of the BWF Super 500 Australian Open, held at the State Sports Centre in Sydney, Lakshya completely dominated Japan’s Yushi Tanaka, winning the title in straight games.

In the final clash, Lakshya Sen showcased rock-solid defense and lighting-fast, precise attacks, leaving Japan’s Yushi Tanaka struggling. He took the first set 21-15, and the second set was completely one-sided, with Lakshya sealing the match 21-11 to end his title drought.

Lakshya started off briliantly, building a 6-3 lead as Tanaka made a series of errors. A 35-shot rally ended with the Japanese shuttler hitting the net, and a fortunate net cord finally ended Lakshya’s streak of points.
