Some things take your breath away. Like the Taj Mahal.
Regardless of all you have read or heard about it, you still would be blown away by its sheer beauty and timelessness when you first see it. Something similar happens while watching Pather Panachali. Or reading The Ode on a Grecian Urn. Or listening to Lata Mangeshkar singing Lag jaa gale... Or closer home, Yesudas whispering in the most melodious of tunes, right to your heart, Thamasanthe varuvaan...
Kerala’s own State School Arts Festival is also a wonder that never ceases to amaze. Perhaps only the Olympic Games will offer more variety. You truly are spoiled for choice.
The 64th edition of the school arts festival, which opens here in the cultural capital of Kerala on Wednesday, indeed promises plenty. Over the next five days, an astonishing number of young talents from across the State will present a wide array of art forms.
