Kareena Kapoor Gets Court Notice For Using ‘Bible’ In Pregnancy Book Title
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is known for being open about her experiences with motherhood and pregnancy. This openness extends to her book, “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible: The Ultimate Manual for Moms-To-Be,” which offers guidance and insights for expecting mothers. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued notices to actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and the sellers of her book following a petition. Advocate Christopher Anthony filed the petition, requesting the court to register a case against Kareena and the sellers. Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia, presiding over the case, has asked Kareena to explain her use of the term “Bible” in the memoir’s title. The petitioner has also demanded a ban on the book’s sale, prompting the court to issue notices to the publishers.
A social activist from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Christopher Anthony, has criticised the use of the word “Bible” in a memoir’s title. He argues that it offends the sensibilities of the Christian community. He believes the title inappropriately compares the memoir’s content to the sacred Christian text. The petitioner said, “Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible (sic).”
