Israel Targets Hamas Leadership In Strikes On Qatar

The Israeli military on Tuesday said that it struck the leadership of Palestinian militant group Hamas. While the Israeli Defense Forces did not mention where the strike took place, Qatari news networks reported explosions in capital Doha.

Qatar’s foreign minister condemned the attack.

“This criminal assault constitutes a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, and poses a serious threat to the security and safety of Qataris and residents in Qatar,” said ministry Spokesperson Majed Al Ansari.

The Qatari government said that it will “not tolerate this reckless Israeli behaviour” and the disruption of regional security, “nor any act that targets its security and sovereignty”.
