Israel army probes Hamas claim of 10-month-old hostage death

Israel’s army said Wednesday it was investigating a report by Hamas’s armed wing that a 10-month-old baby hostage, his four-year-old brother and their mother had all been killed in Gaza.

The military was “verifying the accuracy of the information”, it said in a statement. “Hamas is endangering the lives of all the hostages in the Gaza Strip, who include nine children, and is responsible for their security.”
