Iran sets five conditions to end the war

Amid the escalating tensions in West Asia, Iran has set five conditions to end the war.

The conditions include a complete halt to aggression and assassinations, establishment of a concrete mechanism to ensure war is not reimposed on Iran, guaranteed and clearly defined payment of war damages from the past 26 days of conflict and a 12-day war in June 2025, conclusion of war across all fronts with no targeting of resistance groups including Hamas, Houthis, Shia militia in Iraq and Hezbollah in Lebanon, and international recognition and guarantees regarding Iran's sovereign right to exercise authority over the Strait of Hormuz exclusively.

Senior Iranian officials told Reuters that Iran's initial response to the US proposal was not positive. Tehran is still reviewing the 15-point proposal sent by the United States.
