The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly thrown its weight behind Bangladesh's decision to not play its T20 World Cup matches in India, citing security concerns, in a communication sent to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, the PCB wrote to the global governing body on the eve of the crucial ICC Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, where a final decision on Bangladesh's participation in the tournament is expected to be taken. Pakistan has also copied all ICC Board members on the letter.

The ICC is set to make a call on whether Bangladesh will travel to India for the tournament, which is scheduled to begin on February 7. As per the current fixture list, Bangladesh are supposed to play all four of their group-stage matches in India—the first three in Kolkata and the fourth in Mumbai.
