India might not need Yashasvi Jaiswal in Champions Trophy 2025: Aakash Chopra

The deadline to finalise the Champions Trophy squad has arrived. The 8 teams selected for the tournament must hand in their final 15-member squad for the ICC tournament set to begin on 19 February. The Indian team, one of the favourites to lift the trophy, is currently in a fix, given the condition of their premier fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.

The Indian speedster has not played a single match since pulling out midway through the final Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in January. Bumrah, out of action due to a back injury, was expected to make his return in the ODI series vs. England, but no one, not even the members of the Indian team, has been able to provide any update regarding him.
