ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company made a strong start on Dalal Street on Friday as its shares listed at a healthy premium, raising the key question for investors: should they hold the stock or book profits after the sharp debut?

Shares of ICICI Prudential AMC debuted at Rs 2,606.20 on the BSE, marking a premium of 20.38% over the IPO issue price of Rs 2,165. On the NSE, the stock opened at around Rs 2,600, up 20.09%. The listing was positive but slightly below the most optimistic expectations built into the grey market ahead of the debut.

Market experts say the listing reflects strong confidence in the company’s business model but advise investors to be cautious at current levels.
