The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formally raised the issue of the missing Asia Cup 2025 trophy during the International Cricket Council (ICC) Board meetings in Dubai. The ICC has agreed to mediate the deadlock between the BCCI and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who also heads the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the final on 28 September in Dubai, but the team is yet to receive the winners' trophy. The silverware is reportedly still in the custody of Naqvi, and remains at the ACC headquarters in Dubai under his instructions.
According to sources, the ICC has now formed a committee to help resolve the matter. "BCCI has raised the Asia Cup trophy row with ICC. ICC has asked India and Pakistan to amicably resolve the issue. ICC stated that both India and Pakistan are important for world cricket and has formed a committee to look into this," sources told India Today on Friday.
