Heavy rains that began late Monday night caused massive damage in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district, where two people are dead and two others are missing. The rains, which started around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, led to flooding, landslides, and road blockages, disrupting daily lives.

According to Mandi Municipal Commissioner Rohit Rathour, the rain caused serious damage across the district. “Around 4 in the morning, the situation was worse with landslides and water entering several areas. Sadly, two people lost their lives and two are still missing," he said.

One of the worst-hit places was the Zonal Hospital in Mandi. Water from nearby drains overflowed, flooding the hospital grounds and forcing authorities to block the main access road. Landslides also blocked many internal roads, cutting off several local areas and leaving residents stuck in their houses before everything became normal, according to Hindustan Times.
