Google Meet down for many, users unable to join meetings

If you missed your morning meeting today, you’re not alone. Google Meet ran into major trouble, with thousands of users unable to join calls via the web version. According to Downdetector, outage reports began surging around 11:30 AM (IST), with nearly 1,000 users initially affected. That number quickly climbed to over 1,600 as the disruption spread. During our trial meeting, we found that the issue mainly impacts desktop users, while the mobile app continues to function for most people.

As usual, frustrated office workers flooded social media with memes and complaints. Google has yet to release an official statement, but for now, switching to your phone might be the best way to stay connected.
