Glenn Maxwell challenges Yashasvi Jaiswal to ACHIEVE 40+ test hundreds after century at Perth

New Delhi: India took a commanding 1-0 lead in the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-, defeating Australia by 295 runs at Optus Stadium. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant 161 and Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 100 helped India bounce back from a low score of 150, declaring their second innings at 487/6. Australia struggled in response, getting bowled out for 238, with Jasprit Bumrah starring with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 42 runs and earning the Player of the Match award. This victory marked India’s largest-ever margin of victory in Australia.

Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell believes that Yashasvi Jaiswal’s adaptability to different conditions and his few weaknesses will enable the Indian opener to score more than 40 Test centuries and break several records.
