Four killed during Ganesh idol immersion

The police have handed over the bodies of four persons, who died after being run over by a tractor during the immersion of a Ganesh idol, to their families in West Godavari district on Monday.

The deceased are— E. Suryanarayan (58), Guruju Murali (38), Tirumala Narasimha Murthy (35) and Kadiyam Dinesh (38). They died on the spot after a tractor ran over them at Toorpu Taalla village of Mogalturu Mandal in West Godavari district.

West Godavari District Collector Chadalavada Nagarani said that ex gratia has been recommended to the State government.
