Farm leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike at Khanauri border for 24 days, became unconscious for around 10 minutes on Thursday after his blood pressure dropped.
Doctors said that the health condition of Dallewal, who is a farm leader from Punjab, is deteriorating and "is hanging by a thread". They said that the farm leader is at the risk of cardiac arrest and multi-organ failure as well.
Dallewal has been on a hunger strike at the Khanauri border between Punjab and Haryana since November 26, urging the central government to address the farmers' demands, including a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) on crops.
