The political atmosphere in West Bengal has intensified following the release of exit poll projections, with both the Bharatiya Janata Party and the All India Trinamool Congress presenting sharply contrasting interpretations of voter sentiment ahead of counting day.
BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed that the party is heading towards a strong mandate, suggesting that voters have shown clear anti-incumbency sentiment against the ruling Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee. He argued that increased voter turnout and reduced election-related violence indicate a strong desire for change among the electorate.
According to his assessment, the political environment reflects what he described as a “fear-free voting process,” which he believes has translated into higher participation and an advantage for the BJP. However, opposition voices from the Trinamool Congress have dismissed exit poll projections, calling them unreliable and politically biased.
