The world’s largest religious and spiritual gathering, Mahakumbh, concluded in Prayagraj after 45 days, with over 66 crore devotees taking a holy dip. By 8 PM on Wednesday, 1.53 crore pilgrims had bathed at the sacred confluence. Today, a formal closing ceremony will be held, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in attendance.
He will honor sanitation and healthcare workers and engage with administrative and police officials. On the final day of Mahakumbh, the Indian Air Force saluted devotees with a spectacular aerial display, featuring the roaring Sukhoi aircraft. Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will visit Prayagraj to recognize and reward railway employees for their commendable service during the event.
In the political arena, BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj responded to Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on the Kumbh, stating that Yadav is already seeing the results of 2027, as Mahakumbh has symbolically declared the future outcome.
