Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday demanded the arrest of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, after an Indian Express report claimed that two Election Commissioners had formally objected 14 times to various aspects of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls over the past 10 months.

At a press conference, Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the report showed that the electoral process had been undermined and demanded the arrest of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Kejriwal alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were winning elections through “vote chori” and accused Gyanesh Kumar of being the “sargana” of the alleged process.
