Delhi Water Minister Atishi Marlena discharged from Lok Nayak Hospital

The Delhi Water Minister Atishi was on discharged from the LNJP Hospital on Thursday morning, where she was admitted after her health deteriorated during a five day hunger strike against the water scarcity in the city.

The AAP leader was sitting on an indefinite hunger strike demanding that the BJP-ruled Haryana releases water to Delhi. According to the minister, the residents in the national capital are reeling under a water crisis because Haryana is not releasing 100 million gallons per day (MGD) of water. Atishi began her indefinite hunger strike on June 22.

On Tuesday, Atishi was hospitalised after her blood sugar fell from sitting on the hunger strike for five days.
