Recently, Delhi experienced a day of heavy rains, and since then, the capital's residents have been bracing for more heavy downpours. However, following a breach in the Munak canal barrage, water inundated residential areas in JJ Colony, Bawana, north Delhi, with waist-deep flooding.

According to Delhi Minister Atishi, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is collaborating closely with the Haryana Irrigation Department, which maintains the Munak Canal, to repair the breach in a sub-branch of the canal on Thursday morning. The water direction in the second sub-branch has been diverted, and repair work has commenced.

The repairs are expected to be completed by this afternoon, and the affected sub-branch will be operational again tomorrow.
