A local court has pulled up Delhi Police for its “casual attitude” in investigating a case against State Law Minister Kapil Mishra for his “objectionable statements” made during the 2020 Assembly election.
The matter pertains to an FIR filed against Mr. Mishra for allegedly posting “communally polarising” messages on X (formerly Twitter) ahead of the election.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Vaibhav Chaurasia of Rouse Avenue Courts on Monday observed that diligent endeavours were made by the court in the last one year for collection of evidence from Mr. Mishra’s X handle, but in vain.
