Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu moots navy museum in Andhra Pradesh

Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, at the pre-CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Mr. Naidu explained to the ENC chief about the investments in the defence sector and appealed to him to encourage start-ups in the sector. He said priority was given to promote indigenous shipbuilding and technical assistance to the shipping industry. He said Visakhapatnam would emerge as a major hub for global services.

The Chief Minister suggested to the ENC chief to set up a navy museum to create awareness among the people on the importance of the Navy’s operations and services. He said the State government would extend all cooperation to the Navy in its activities.
