Chandrababu Naidu’s party leader arrested over remarks against Chief Minister
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former minister Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy was arrested on Monday for allegedly making derogatory comments against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and minister RK Roja. Heavy police were deployed to arrest the former minister of the state.
According to news agency ANI, a case was registered at the Nagara Palem police station in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district against Murthy.
A team of Guntur Police reached Murthy's residence in Vennelapalem village of Parawada mandal in Anakapalli district on Monday night to serve a notice and arrest him. According to ANI, Murthy refrained from opening the door for a long time and kept watch on it. The police team had to break open the door and arrest him.
