Centre extends tenure of foreign secretary Vikram Misri till July 2026

Vikram Misri's tenure as Foreign Secretary has been extended until July 2026. The decision, made by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, allows Misri to continue in his role beyond his scheduled retirement in November 2024. Misri, a seasoned diplomat, has held key positions in the Ministry of External Affairs and the Prime Minister's Office.
