
CBI arrests man absconding for 26 years in Saudi murder case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a man from Uttar Pradesh, who was reportedly on the run for 26 years after murdering another person in Saudi Arabia in 1999, at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport
The suspect was identified as Mohammad Dilshad, 52, a resident of UP’s Bijnor. Dilshad was apprehended at the Delhi Airport on August 11, as he was returning from the Saudi city of Medinah under a new identity and passport.
Dilshad, who was working as a heavy motor mechanic and security guard in 1999, and is accused of murdering a person in Riyadh at that time, probe officials told news agency ANI. He later evaded authorities in Saudi Arabia and fled to India.
