Budget 2024: President Murmu Offers 'Dahi-Cheeni' To FM Sitharaman Ahead Of Budget Presentation

Ahead of the Union Budget 2024 presentation in the Parliament on Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu offered 'dahi-chini' (curd-sugar) to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman when she arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ‘dahi-cheeni’ ritual was carried out by President Murmu to mark the auspicious commencement of the day.

As per established tradition, the finance minister met the President at the Rashtrapati Bhavan before heading to Parliament. She was accompanied by MoS (Finance) Pankaj Choudhary.
